Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham
The Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham is a 41-bed acute care community hospital with four operating rooms that has served the residents of Needham and surrounding communities for more than 80 years. The Hospital is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and provides outpatient and inpatient services, complete diagnostic facilities and a full-service emergency department. The surgical departmetn offers a broad array of services that include orthopedic procedures and implants, urological, vascular, thoracic, plastic, reconstructive, gastrointestinal, general surgical and gynecological procedures. The Needham campus also offers occupational health services and nutritional counseling. Needham’s medical staff blends experienced primary care physicians and specialists supported by the Chesnut Health Care Alliance. Many physicians also hold appointments at major medical schools and are tied closely with their colleagues at other academic medical centers.
Boston IVF/Surgery Center of Waltham - Waltham
The Surgery Center of Waltham is a division of Boston IVF and is an outpatient surgical facility providing a personal and comfortable environment to a variety of referred patients. This center offers two operating rooms for all types of outpatient surgical procedures. The IVF area performs 8-12 assisted reproductive procedures per day using the more advanced techniques that are available.
Boston Medical Center - Boston
Boston Medical Center is a private, not-for-private, 547 licensed bed, academic medical center and is the primary teaching affiliate for Boston University School of Medicine. Emphasizing community based care, Boston Medical Center, with its mission to provide consistently accessible health services to all, is the largest safety net hospital in New England. Boston Medical Center runs 23 operating rooms performing over 16,000 surgeries per year and provides a full spectrum of care for both adult and pediatric patients including cardiothoracic surgery, obstetrics, and level I trauma. Boston Medical Center has the largest 24-hour Level I trauma center in New England with the emergency room averaging over 117,000 visits annually. Boston Medical Center has an anesthesia residency program with 21 residents and 2 cardiothoracic anesthesia fellows. In addition, the Department plays an active role in medical student education. Faulkner Hospital - Jamaica Plain
Faulkner Hospital is a 150 bed non-profit, 8 operating rooms community teaching hospital with 11 operating rooms, averaging over 185,000 patient visits every year. Founded in 1900, Faulkner Hospital has a long history of meeting the health care needs of the residents of southwest Boston and the surrounding suburbs. They offer comprehensive medical, surgical and psychiatric care as well as complete emergency, ambulatory and diagnostic services. Their largest inpatient services are cardiology, psychiatry, pulmonary, orthopedics, gastroenterology and general/GI surgery. In 1998, Faulkner Hospital, highly regarded as one of the region’s most respected community teaching hospitals, joined with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, one of the country’s leading academic medical centers, to form a common parent company, Brigham and Women’s/Faulkner Hospitals, a member of Partners Healthcare. In early 2001, Brigham and Women’s Hospital affiliated physicians at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physicians group, began providing primary and secondary care at Faulkner Hospital.
Mount Auburn Hospital - Cambridge
Mount Auburn Hospital is a 250-bed hospital that was incorporated in 1871 as the first hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Over the years, generations of committed individuals have dedicated their careers to achieving the vision of being the best community teaching healthcare system in the Boston area. Mount Auburn Hospital is is a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient facility and a leading provider of specialized services in such areas as cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, and vascular surgery. New England Baptist Hospital - Boston
Established in 1893, New England Baptist Hospital is a 141-bed adult medical/surgical hospital, located in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, with specialty services in musculoskeletal care, sports medicine, occupational medicine and cardiology. New England Baptist Hospital is a member of CareGroup, a system of physicians, community and teaching hospitals providing comprehensive health care service. New England Baptist Hospital Surgicare at Brookline - Brookline
New England Surgicare is a 4 operating room multidisciplinary free-standing ambulatory surgicenter owned and operated by the New England Baptist Hospital. The majority of the cases performed here are same day orthopedic procedures, however, there is still a large volume of general surgical and gynecologic same day surgeries performed as well.
North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital - Salem
NSMC Salem Hospital is a 284-bed community teaching hospital that provides comprehensive adult and pediatric services which include cardiac, thoracic, neurosurgery and pediatrics. It is home to the angioplasty, electrophysiology and cardiac surgery programs of the NSMC Heart Center as well as the complete obstetrical services of the Birthplace at Salem Hospital. With 14 ORs, it offers the North Shore's largest emergency service and is designated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as a Primary Stroke Service hospital. NSMC Salem Hospital offers a full range of surgical services including many minimally invasive procedures, an outpatient SurgiCenter as well as full inpatient surgery facilities. Also located on the Salem campus are the NSMC North Shore Children's Hospital and Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital.

Quincy Medical Center - Quincy
Founded in 1890, Quincy Medical Center is a 282-bed community teaching hospital that provides truly remarkable healthcare to residents of Quincy and the South Shore. With their Alliance for Quality with Boston Medical Center formed in 1999, they recently achieved a score of 96% from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. This places Quincy Medical Center among the best health care institutions in the country. Quincy Medical Center run 4-6 operating rooms each day and offers a wide variety of services in primary care and specialty medicine, surgery, geriatrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology and women’s health. Surgical specialties include general, vascular, orthopedic, ENT, GYN and urologic. Quincy Medical Center also provides 24-hour emergency care, 365 days of the year.
Saints Medical Center - Lowell
Located 30 miles north of Boston, in Lowell Massachusetts, Saints Medical Center is a 120-bed community hospital that was founded in 1992 after the merger of their predecessor hospitals, St. John’s and St. Joseph’s. They continue to build on more than 150 years of tradition that establishes Saints as the premier health care facility in the area. SMC runs 8 operating rooms plus an obstetrical service and averages over 6,000 cases per year. Cases include vascular, thoracic, neuro and minor pediatrics, while orthopedics and general surgery are the largest of the surgical services performed. Saints Medical Center is the largest provider of health care in the Greater Lowell area. St. Luke’s Hospital - New Bedford
St. Luke’s Hospital, a not-for-profit institution, is a leading health care provider in Southeastern Massachusetts and is continually growing in scope and technologies to meet the diverse needs of the families of Greater New Bedford. The hospital was founded in 1884 and in 1996 it merged with Charlton Memorial in Fall River and Tobey Hospital in Wareham to form Southcoast Health System. It now has dozens of ancillary facilities throughout the region, including an assisted living facility, home health care and hospice, a wellness center and numerous outpatient medical services. St. Luke’s has 393 total beds in service, 11 operating rooms, a Level II nursery and an OB service. St. Luke’s Hospital does a wide range of surgical cases including major vascular, neurosurgical, urologic, orthopedic, OB/Gyn, thoracic, ENT, pediatric and general surgery. South Coast Surgery Center is off-site, but is affiliated with the hospital. Patients have access to sophisticated diagnostic testing, including CT (computerized tomography) scanning, MRI and nuclear cardiology.
